Radiolink M8N GPS with Compass

The Radiolink M8N GPS comes with a compass using the honeywell HMC5983.

Depending on the setup, the M8N can be connected to UART 2 or 3. On a SP Racing F3, if using the external compass, the compass can connect to I2C1. NOTE: if the flight controller's compass is a HMC5883 and the external compass laso has a HMC5883, then there will be a conflict--the user must physically disable the flight controller's compass chip by either desoldering or cutting the traces to the HMC5883 chip. Plug and play with iNAV and SP Racing F3. Out of the box, the M8N GPS Module has the Rx and Tx wires switched when connecting with a SP Racing F3 board and this is correct. On the M8N GPS Module, the Blue Rx wire from the GPS Module goes to Tx on the SP F3 and the Orange Tx wire goes to Rx.

iNAV

The M8N will work with iNAV out of the box without the need for manual configuration using u-center. In iNAV, turn on GPS, UBLOX, and enter in the magnetic declination. For the port, if using UART 2 for example, then only switch on GPS and baud rate (UART 2's MSP and Serial Rx port will be off).
